1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using NodeCart (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Description of service
NodeCart is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform, provided on a subscription basis, that enables business owners across Africa — including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Ethiopia — to create and manage online shops. The Platform provides hosting, AI-generated text content, and tools to manage products, payments and orders. NodeCart is a software provider only and is not a party to any sale between a seller and their customers, nor a payment processor or merchant of record.
3. Free plan & pricing
NodeCart offers a free plan with limited features. The availability, limits, and features of the free plan are subject to change at any time at our sole discretion. We may modify, reduce, or discontinue the free plan or any of its features without prior notice.
4. Payments and billing
The Platform charges subscription fees for premium features. All customer payments flow directly to sellers through their own M-Pesa credentials. NodeCart does not process, hold, or handle seller revenues in any way.
5. User responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of your business information, product listings, and compliance with applicable laws in your jurisdiction. You must not use the Platform for illegal goods or services.
6. AI-generated content
The Platform uses AI to generate text content such as product descriptions, SEO metadata, and buyer FAQs. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may not always be correct. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all content before publishing it to your shop.
7. Data and privacy
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Your payment credentials are kept encrypted and private, and are used only to process payments to your own account.
8. Limitation of liability
NodeCart is provided “as is”. We are not liable for any losses arising from payment disputes between sellers and customers, AI-generated content inaccuracies, or service interruptions.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your dashboard.
10. Changes to terms
We may update these terms at any time, including changes to pricing, plan features, and service availability. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
